The Creed of the Divine Will

The Creed of the Divine Will

Reavers and destroyers,

creators of misery and sorrow.

Petty and uncaring,

Each a world to themselves;

Blind to the misfortunes and philosophies of their cousins.

The will of the ego dominates,

that One True God, worshiped in silent orthodoxy.

Each a mirror of all others,

With eyes closed in holy fervor.

Ecumenical in their hatred for heretics of thought and deed,

Universal in their heresy.

The depths of faith have given way,

To the deaths of faith.

On this day all other gods died

As man worships the Self Deified.

Stripped of illusions,

I reap this abounding chaos.

In a world of sovereign echoes,

I walk amongst the myriad little theocracies of small gods.
